Lent begins on Ash Wednesday and continues until Easter Sunday. The Church traditionally keeps the period of Lent as a solemn time of preparation for the great celebration of Jesus’ Resurrection from the grave.
Lent is a time when the Church takes a break from business-as-usual and calls upon Christians to engage in acts of spiritual self examination, study, reflection, prayer, and renewed commitment to the Love of God made known in Jesus, the Christ, the Son of the Living God, the God of the living. With this in mind, we, at Trinity, will seek to place a Lenten emphasis on building community as we move toward the festive celebration of Easter.
