Ministries: Christian Formation

Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.
Psalm 119:105
The Episcopal Church’s Charter for Lifelong Christian Formation describes formation as “the lifelong growth in the knowledge, service and love of God as followers of Christ and is informed by scripture, tradition and reason.”
Christian formation is for everyone, no matter whether you are just beginning your spiritual journey or have been walking Christ's way for many years. You are invited to God's house to worship and to participate in programs and ministry founded in Scripture and reflecting God's power in our lives. At Trinity you will find many examples of youth and adults working to uphold the vows made in our baptismal covenant.
Trinity’s children and youth are formed through Godly Play, a program that invites children to experience God through sacred stories and response. Our Youth Education programs continue that journey and encourage their growth into service in Christ. Children and Youth raise money through car washes, walk for a cause, feed the hungry by making sandwiches for the homeless and collecting food for the community dining room, and help neighbors in need through Work Camp and mission trips.
Christian Formation for adults is centered primarily in Sunday worship and opportunities for service to others, both near and far. In Lent and Advent we often have opportunities for group study involving scripture, spiritual practices, and books that stretch our faith exploration.
